This blog will document my hiking adventures. I usually hike with my dog Howie (named for the sound beagles make - HOWWOOOHHHH!). He's a good hiking companion, but needs to be on a leash so he won't wander off (like he did one time on Kaaterskill High Peak).

The hikes I do generally take place in the mountains within a days drive of Albany:

• New York (Adirondacks, Catskills, Taconics )
• Massachusetts (Berkshires)
• Vermont (Greens)
