It was a perfect September day. Cool and sunny. From Colvin, you could see the slide on Nippletop. (Heh...heh...heh... Sorry, the name makes most guys snicker.)
Anyway, the trek took about 7 1/4 hours at a quick pace.

Elevation Change: 4000 ft

It doesn't look like a nipple to me.
Maybe it did to some dude who spent too much time in the woods surveying mountain tops.
