Howie and I did another hike in the southern Catskills. We climbed Peekamoose and Table mountains from Peekamoose Road (County Route 42). There was no snow at all on the trail until about the 3000 foot elevation mark. Then, it was hard-packed snow with some icy spots. Got by with just boots.
We had a nice sunny day for our trek in the woods (temps in the 30s). Took about 5 1/2 hours for the entire hike.
Summit Elevation: Peekamoose 3843 ft, Table 3847 ft
Round-trip Distance: 8.5 mi
Elevation Change: 3030 ft
Buttermilk Falls

Did you go today or on Saturday? It was 60 here yesterday so we went hiking at a local park.
