Mount Never-rest

It was a nice sunny weekend. Today, I drove up to Lake George with Howie and we climbed Shelving Rock mountain. The trail was a treat for the feet as it was nicely graded old carriage road... not too many rocks to trip over. Howie spent a lot time sniffing for chipmunks. At the top, I followed the path down to the ledge with the better view.

Summit Elevation: Shelving Rock 1130 ft
Round-trip Distance: 3.4 mi
Elevation Change: 500 ft

We returned back to the car. I still felt good so I did a short loop hike down to the shore of Lake George and then back up past Shelving Rock Falls.

A "treat for the feet" - I like that!
