Post hurricane

I did a hike with Howie at Plotterkill Preserve this afternoon. The water levels in the creek were not that high, especially given all the rain over the previous weekend (5-6 inches). With the wet August we just had, there were a lot of mushrooms and assorted fungi to be found in the woods. Trails were in good shape - just a little muddy with a few trees down. Walked about 6 miles total on this warm, hazy day.

Took Willie to Thatcher Park today for a little walk. I was also very surprised how dry the steams were. We saw lots of fungi but very little tree damage. A very nasty T-storm came and we headed for the car in a hurry. Probably very wet up there now.
