Berlin

I did a hike with Howie on this warm afternoon. It felt more like Spring than January. From Petersburg Pass, we took the Taconic Crest trail to Berlin mountain. Only saw two other people in the woods (who had a beagle mix dog). No real snow and just a few icy patches on the trail. On the return, went over Mount Raimer and down one of the old ski trails.

Summit Elevation: Berlin 2798 ft
 Round-trip Distance: 6.0 mi
Elevation Change: 1400 ft

Too warm for New Years Day felt more like Easter. No snow on Greylock for Willie to play in. We got caught up in a "First Hike" on Greylock that had 3 groups of 30 people each.
Your choice was much better.
