Prospecting

Did a short hike this afternoon up Prospect mountain near Lake George. This is the tourist peak that you can drive up in the summer ... for a fee. I'm a cheap-ass hiker, so I just walked up. Parked on Smith Street in the village. First had to cross the Northway (I-87) on a pedestrian bridge. Then, followed the badly eroded trail up to the summit. It was a short but continuous climb all the way. Nice views on this warm, sunny day at the top. On the way down, I followed the route of the old telephone line for a while.
